Things To Do In And Around Bergen County: Week of October 1, 2015

Washington Township Fall Festival, Pink Hat Campaign, Halloween Events and More!

By Angeline Sheridan October 1, 2015
Happy October! Fall and Halloween festivities are in full swing and we've got the latest scoop!

If you plan on going to the ZooBoo at Van Saun, tickets go on sale to the public October 1st! Be sure to check out our annual Wicked Guide to Halloween Events HERE for more info on this and other spooktacular events happening locally!

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Besides Halloween and Fall festivities, October brings you Breast Cancer Awareness month. We here at Macaroni Kid would like to remind all women to self-examine your breasts on a regular basis and to schedule a clinical breast exam and mammogram based on your age and self-history.

Don't have time keep track of it all? Sign up for the National Breast Cancer Organization's Early Detection Plan to receive reminders and keep a record of your past exams - it's free and very easy to use.

Want to donate to research and spread awareness? Stop by a local police or fire department and buy a pink Breast Cancer Awareness hat! For a list of participating departments, click HERE.

Also join Macaroni Kid at Kids Party Play & Tumble for a Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser on October 20 from 3:45PM-5:30PM. $7 for open play and all proceeds will go towards Breast Cancer research and awareness. Click HERE for more information.

MACARONI KID PLAYDATE OCTOBER 5 - A FEW SPOTS LEFT!

We are so excited for our next playdate on October 5th at the NEW World Class Sports Academy in Westwood. Confirmation emails will be going out this weekend so be sure to RSVP if you haven't already! Details HERE.

OTHER UPCOMING MACARONI KID EVENTS

Macaroni Kid's first annual Family Fall Festival at Closter Commons on October 11th is fast approaching, and we are so excited about the activities and the local businesses that are participating! Check out what's in store at this fall-tastic event and get your bracelets early HERE. Families that purchase bracelets in advance will not have to wait in line to get their bracelets, and they will be guaranteed a FREE Macaroni Kid tote bag!

Bring your little Boos and Ghouls at the Garden State Plaza's special Toddler Tuesday Halloween Party on October 27 from 10AM-11AM. We will be doing a fun Halloween craft with the kids and there will be goodies for everyone!

Have a fun-filled week!
