MAKING A DIFFERENCE IS AT THE HEART OF THE PROGRAM
Preschoolers Join Together To Benefit The Center for Hope and Safety

A School Supplies Drive was held at The Goddard School located in Norwood, NJ. The Preschool 2 class collected school supplies for The Center for Hope and Safety, a local not-for-profit organization whose mission is to assist women and children who are victims of domestic violence.

With the leadership of their teachers, Ms. Cheryl Pascal and Ms. Gina Stevens the children collected and filled over 50 backpacks. The children and teachers recognize the significance of giving back and being a part of their community through aiding those less fortunate.

At The Goddard School, laying the foundation to good citizenship is fostered through the development of four essential skills: friendship, compassion, cooperation and kindness.  “Teaching young children to help others creates a foundation for character development by building a strong sense of self, the importance of caring for others and an awareness of their ability to influence the world in positive ways,” said Anthony Vassallo, on-site owner of The Goddard School located in Norwood, NJ. “We are proud to continue validating for the children the values of goodwill and caring for others.”

Anthony Vassallo says that the School is also involved in other forms of community service as well. “The Goddard School actively participates in sponsorships and outreach programs including food and clothing drives, pajama-a-thons and Toys for Tots collection within our local community,” he says.
