Visit a Local Farm for Hayrides, Pumpkin Picking and Fun!

October is pumpkin picking season! Check out Macaroni Kid's top picks for local farms with pumpkin picking. Please be sure to call ahead to confirm hours of operation and pumpkin supply to avoid disappointment.

Abma's Farm (700 Lawlins Road, Wyckoff) features a fun, bumpy hayride to a small pumpkin patch Saturdays in October from 10:30AM-3:30PM. Hayrides also available Columbus Day 10AM - 3:30PM. Best known for its petting zoo, pony rides on Saturdays from 11AM to 4PM and night hayrides and bonfires on select days in October for groups of 30+. 201-891-0278

Demarest Farms (244 Werimus Road, Hillsdale) boasts hayrides to a big pumpkin patch with a good selection of pumpkins. Next to the Country Store there is a small area for kids to play in. There are also plenty of picnic tables outside to enjoy donuts, cider or lunch. Open weekends 10AM-4:30PM and weekdays 3PM-4:30PM. 201-666-0472

Lupardi's Nursery (75 Blanch Avenue, Closter) features hayrides, pumpkin picking, a feeding zoo, a corn maze, haunted greenhouse, giant inflatable slide and a tractor train ride. Activities available weekends in October from 10AM to 5PM. 201-768-0017

Rohsler's Nursery (100 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale) will be offering hayrides on weekends in October from 11AM to 4:30PM including Columbus Day, pony rides, face painting and live music Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30AM to 4:30PM through October 16, and BBQ from 11AM to 5PM on weekends through October 16.
