Demarest Farms (244 Werimus Road, Hillsdale) boasts hayrides to a big pumpkin patch with a good selection of pumpkins. Next to the Country Store there is a small area for kids to play in. There are also plenty of picnic tables outside to enjoy donuts, cider or lunch. Open weekends 10AM-4:30PM and weekdays 3PM-4:30PM. 201-666-0472. Rohsler's Nursery (100 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale) will be offering hayrides on weekends in October from 11AM to 4:30PM including Columbus Day, pony rides, face painting and live music Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30AM to 4:30PM through October 16, and BBQ from 11AM to 5PM on weekends through October 16.
Secor Farms (85 Airmont Avenue, Mahwah) offers hayrides to 2 corn mazes and to the pumpkin patch where you can pick your own pumpkin and pay by the pound. There is also a petting zoo and a corn box for little ones. On weekends, the farm sells hot dogs and hamburgers. Hayrides Mondays-Fridays 3PM-5PM and Saturdays and Sundays 10AM-4PM until October 31st. The farm is open daily 8AM to 6PM.
