The wait is over. Whole Foods Market, the leading natural and organic grocery store, officially opened its doors at the new Closter Plaza on October 19. Area residents flocked to the Grand Opening event, which featured a breaking bread ceremony with Closter Mayor John Glidden and other local officials, free special edition Whole Foods Closter reusable tote bags to the first 250 visitors, and giveaways.
Five percent of opening day net sales will be donated to the Center for Food Action's Weekend Snack Program & Thanksgiving Food Pack Distribution.
