Goddard School of Norwood Adopts Local Families in Need

The Giving Tree Project

November 16, 2016
Each year The Goddard School of Norwood, families friends, and staff come together to join in a school-wide project that gives back to the community. This year's theme is "The Giving Tree Project". The school will be adopting 3 local families in need and helping them by providing a holiday to remember. Everything including a Menorah or a Christmas tree, a holiday dinner, and gifts for the family will be provided by the school.

The Giving Tree Project takes place in five stages:

1. In October, the school collected cleaning supplies and toiletries.

2.  In November, a Giving Tree with tags will be located near the front office. Families can choose a tag and provide that gift. Unwrapped gifts should be returned to the office with the tag attached no later than Friday, November 25.
3. On November 14, the school will be wrapping the cleaning supplies that will be delivered to the families to help prepare for the holidays.
4. On November 28,  the school will be wrapping the gifts.

5.  On December 17, the adopted families' “Holiday” will be delivered including dinner and gift.  Their homes, inside and out, will be decorated by the Goddard School staff.
Members of the community are invited to share the joy of the true meaning of the holiday season by participating at any stage of The Giving Tree Project.
