New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents shows for the whole family!

Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company presents Year of The Rooster. A delight for the entire family, the Year of the Rooster combines the elegance of traditional Asian art and the beauty of American modern dance with thrilling choreography, exotic music and dazzling acrobats. Saturday, January 28, 2017 2:00 PM & Sunday, January 29, 2017 2:00 PM at Victoria Theater.

Then introduce your family to all the characters of Prokofiev’s classic tale of Peter & The Wolf! The duck, bird, cat, wolf, hunters, Peter and his Grandfather are each represented by a specific theme and instrument, making this a wonderful introduction to the instruments of the orchestra, as well as a charming story with New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Saturday, February 11, 2017 2:00 PM & 3:00 PM at Victoria Theater.

For 31 years, the Peking Acrobats have redefined audience perceptions of Chinese acrobatics. They perform daring maneuvers atop a precarious pagoda of chairs and show their prowess in trick-cycling, tumbling, juggling, somersaulting and gymnastics. The Peking Acrobats push the limits of human ability, defying gravity with amazing displays of contortion, flexibility and control. Saturday, February 18, 2017 1:00 PM at Prudential Hall.

Based on Arnold Lobel’s beloved books, A Year with Frog and Toad bubbles with melody and wit: an inventive, exuberant and enchanting experience for the whole family! Saturday, February 25, 2017 2:00 PM at Victoria Theater.

Moscow Festival Ballet presents Swan Lake. A company of 50 dancers, direct from Moscow, performs the tale of a beautiful woman doomed to be a swan in this opulent production set to Tchaikovsky’s glorious score. Whether you’re a dance aficionado or a newcomer, this ballet about an evil sorcerer who stands in the way of true love, performed to heart-wrenching music, is a must-see. Saturday, April 15, 2017 8:00 PM  at Prudential Hall.

Bugs Bunny is back and better than ever in Bugs Bunny at the Symphony! Celebrate Looney Tunes and its legendary stars, including Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Wile E. Coyote, Road Runner and, of course, our very favorite “wascally wabbit.” Kids of all ages will enjoy hearing the extraordinary musical scores performed live and perfectly in-sync with all the on-screen action.
