It's October already?!

By Angeline Sheridan September 26, 2012
The (flour) dust have settled since my baking frenzy for our Cookies for Kids Cancer bake sale this past week and I am just realizing that next week is October.  WHAAAT?!  Before we say Buh-Bye to September, here's a quick wrap-up from this weekend:

Norwood Town Day + Cookies for Kids Cancer Bake Sale  = SO MUCH FUN

Many thanks to the organizers, volunteers and sponsors of Norwood Town Day who made it a great day for the community to come together.  Also a special thanks to OXO for sponsoring our bake sale with a fabulous suite of baking tools to give away. (Check your emails this week to find out if you're the winner!)  For pictures of the event, visit our Facebook page here.  It is also not too late to donate! Click here for more information and receive a limited edition OXO "Good Cookie" spatula.

Westwood Mommas Rock!!

We had a FABULOUS turnout at the Westwood Mommas Kick-off event on Sunday.  If you're from Westwood or Washington Township, be sure to email us to get on the mailing list for future events and become a fan on Facebook.  We've got more fun things lined up just in time for the holidays (hint: they may involve ice cream and/or wine)!

Coming Up This Week:

How to Train Your Dragon Live starting this Thursday, September 27 at IZOD Center.  I'm so looking forward to this incredible show!  Click here for some fun facts about the show.

As part of our anniversary celebration, the hubby and I will be going to see War Horse this Saturday, September 29th.  (I remembered the right date this year, babe!)  Stay tuned for my review.  For information on how to see this five Tony award-winning show, click here.

Be sure to read through the whole newsletter because there's lots more good stuff including: articles on Yom Kippur and Sukkot, super-easy do it yourself Halloween Costumes, the Laurie Berkner Band ticket giveaway and lots more!!!

This week's newsletter is made possible by The Valley School of Park Ridge.  Check out their website and contact them for a tour of their state-of-the-art facilities for infants through preschoolers.  And tell them Macaroni Kid sent ya!

Have a fun-filled week!
