If you've been following us for a while, you know my whole family is a HUGE fan of Laurie Berkner. We had a great time at The Laurie Berkner Band's Holiday Concert in December. My son still likes to listen to the LBB Christmas CD, and it was priceless to see my little girl clapping along to "Pig On Her Head" while donning a Cat on her head. I am thrilled that the Laurie Berkner Band will be coming back to perform a live DANCE PARTY Concert at NJPAC on May 5, 2013 at 1PM.
Laurie Berkner started her career as a children's recording artist in 1997, performing locally in Manhattan while teaching preschool music classes. It didn't take long before her songs forever changed children's music. Laurie's unique voice and the songs she sings are not only fun but also very relatable to kids young and old. She can now be seen regularly performing on Nick Jr., and her concerts are ALWAYS sold out.
We have most of her CDs and DVDs but there is nothing like a live Laurie Berkner Band experience. We have been to two of the Band's concerts, and each time has been a different party-like atmosphere with lots of singing, dancing, and audience participation. This Spring, I can't wait to find out what surprises are in store for the kiddies and parents during the Dance Party Concert! Perhaps some cover songs from the 70's???
