The Big Playhouse is scheduled to open its doors to the public by the end of July, according to its owner Larine Baratta. The Big Playhouse is a new play facility located on 312 Kinderkamack Road in Westwood (near the Five Corners). Designed to spark imagination and creativity among children ages 2 to 8 years old, the play center features old-fashioned dramatic play with real lifestyle communities including a cafe, a doctor's office, a salon, a race car speedway, a supermarket, a barnyard and more. Kids can bring their favorite doll, car or truck to enjoy The Big Playhouse's many attractions, or they can "adopt" one for the day.
The Big Playhouse will be open Mondays through Saturdays from 10AM to 5PM. Kids can come and play ALL DAY if they wish as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Admission is as follows: for children ages 2 to 8 $17.99, walkers to under 2 years old $7.99, infants (under 12 months) and one supervising adult are free, each additional adult is $7.99. The Big Playhouse is also an inviting option for stay-at-home moms and moms' groups: kids can come play on weekdays between 10AM to 2PM for a special price of $12.99 per child ages 2 through 8.
