As I am putting together this week's e-newsletter I am watching the news about the massive fire at the Avalon at Edgewater Complex. I used to live in the area and passed by those apartments many times. I am thankful that everyone had been safely evacuated and for the many first responders who are on the scene. I pray for the residents whose lives have been completely destroyed in a blink of an eye.
As I hear of ways to help the Avalon residents rebuild, I will post on our Facebook page and on our website. If you have information on or would like to help organize a donation drive or if you are one of the people affected, please send me an email or reply to your e-newsletter.

If you would like to donate to the families displaced by the Edgewater fire, visit edgewaterstrong.com set up by the Edgewater Education Foundation. 100% of donations will benefit the families, and the site is updated to inform the public about what types of donations are needed at the moment.
