A Blastastic Time at Miles from Tomorrowland Preview Party (Sponsored)

Tune in on Feb 6 for the Premiere of Miles from Tomorrowland on Disney Junior on the Disney Channel

By Angeline Sheridan February 5, 2015
A select group of 15 families attended Macaroni Kid's exclusive Miles from Tomorrowland Preview Party this past Sunday, February 1st, at the Buehler Challenger and Space Center in Paramus. The guests were thrilled to watch the brand new show Miles from Tomorrowland, before its official premiere on Disney Junior on the Disney Channel on February 6, 2015 at 9am/8c.

Mini space explorers sat enthralled as they were introduced to the Callisto Family in "Journey to the Frozen Planet".

The main character Miles is an enthusiastic space adventurer who is always ready for action. Merc, a Mechanical Emotionally-Responsive Creature, is Mile's robo-ostrich and best friend. Expert computer coder Loretta is Miles' "by the book" older sister. Leo is Miles and Loretta's father and an avid inventor, and Phoebe is Captain Callisto (aka Captain Mom) who runs the ship with a warm heart and high standards. The show features futuristic gadgets and high-tech talk to keep even the adults engaged and entertained.

After the show, the families participated in activities at the Buehler Challenger & Space Center led by the center's educators.

Kids learned about what astronauts wear in space.

The families took part in a simulated lift off to Mars or the Moon.

Astronauts in training practiced skills needed for space missions, such as learning how to pick up moon rocks while wearing space suits.

Families took a tour of the center's mission control room and laboratory where children in grades 5 and up can implement their own space missions and conduct experiments using principles of math, science and technology.

Miles from Tomorrowland is sure to be a big hit for kids ages 2 to 8, and parents will love the way the show inspires children to learn more about space exploration. When asked what he thought of the show, 5 year old Benjamin Chiang enthusiastically said, "I want to be a space explorer!"
