The Beauty of Boxed: Warehouse Club Prices Without Fees and Long Lines

A Macaroni Kid Review (Sponsored)

By Angeline Sheridan February 26, 2015
My name is Angeline Sheridan, and I am a recovering warehouse club member. For three years I was a member of a local warehouse club. You couldn't beat the prices of club-sized packages of diapers, wipes, and other essentials. But the trip to the warehouse club, which is 20 minutes away from my house, was something I could do without. (Keep reading for a special discount code to try Boxed!)

Regardless of the day and time, the club was always packed: the crowded parking lots, long lines, and unpredictable supply always made me question whether the membership fee that goes with the club prices is really worth the hassle. With two little kids and a growing business, my time is precious and I wanted a better solution.

Enter Boxed, a free online warehouse club that allows you to buy in bulk directly from your smartphone, tablet or PC without paying membership fees.

I downloaded the Boxed app on my iPhone, and after one purchase, I was hooked.  I have been very impressed with the app's ease of use. It is very visual, featuring a "Deal of the Week" and popular shopping categories like Grocery, Kids and Diapers, Health and Beauty, and Organic Favorites for easy browsing. I also liked the ability to create lists. As I am shopping, I can add items on my list to purchase in the future, saving me from trying to recall things I need at that moment (which happens frequently!).

Boxed offers a nice selection of items I would buy at a warehouse club - cereals, snacks, baby food, diapers, wipes, household cleaners, party supplies, soap, juice and milk boxes, candies to name a few. Brands are familiar favorites like Kellogg's, Dove, Glad, Pampers, Huggies, Gerber, and Tide. I was also pleasantly surprised by Boxed's selection of organic products including Happy Family baby cereal and snacks, Horizon Organic milk boxes, Heinz organic ketchup, organic agave, and Honest Kids juice boxes. Their variety of diapers includes The Honest Co., Luvs, Pampers, and Huggies.

Now that I know about Boxed, I will never go back to a warehouse club. Boxed offers the convenience of online shopping with the benefits of club-prices minus the membership fees and long lines. Delivery is fast - I placed my order late Friday and received it on Tuesday.
