Macaroni Made: Surprise Balls

By Julie Follansbee December 26, 2012
Materials:
  • crepe paper (I used 1-3/4 to 2" wide cut in half)
  • glue
  • scissors
  • trinkets, candy, surprises of all different shapes and sizes and pliability
  • decorative stickers and ribbons

Begin by taking a bit of crepe paper (I took a piece about 6 feet long and folded it 20 times until it was manageable and then cut it in half lengthwise.

Select what your "core" will be and start wrapping!

Make sure that your first prize is completely covered before you add the next one!

Add a drop of glue when you change colors.

Keep wrapping and adding treats, alternating sizes of treats to make a round shape and layering as much crepe paper is needed for padding!

Keep wrapping and adding as much as you like! When you finish, you can decorate it with a simple foam sticker like I did or really jazz it up with ribbon and glitter! The sky's the limit! They can be the size of tennis balls or basketballs!!
