Dino's Restaurant

A Macaroni Dad's Review

By Jason Feinman December 12, 2013
Dino's Restaurant in Harrington Park is not your typical Italian restaurant. It is not a pizza place, whether brick-oven, regular or otherwise. Dino's is, however, an upscale, fine dining, Italian cuisine experience.

I recommend starting with the daily house-made mozzarella ($11.50). The mozzarella is a huge piece, and it is served with balsamic vinaigrette, roasted peppers, prosciutto di parma and basil.

My wife keeps going back for the fresh house-made Gnocchi ($18.50) with a bolognese sauce, which comes in a basil-scented marinara sauce. You can do some reasonable substitutions here, and the staff along with your host, Dino, are very pleasant and helpful.

I had the special Veal Sorrentina (check for pricing and availability) which is veal, topped with eggplant and prosciutto in a sherry wine sauce. Delicious!

They have an extensive wine list along with some signature cocktails.

Dino's Restaurant has always been a pleasurable dining experience. I can also say that while Dino's does not have a kids menu, it is okay to bring kids. The decor and ambiance is romantic and is also a good place for couples as well.

I would recommend making reservations, especially on weekends, though they do welcome walk-ins. Dino's offers private parties and off-premise catering as well. I give Dino's 5 stars!!!
