The Borough of Closter announced this week that EDENS, the Closter Plaza developer, will begin the rejuvenation of one of Closter's largest commercial properties this summer. A new Whole Foods Market will be the main attraction of the new project, scheduled to open in 2016. Retail space will be constructed to the west of Whole Foods, replacing the KMart, which is scheduled to close in August. To the east of Whole Foods will be an entertainment plaza where Bow-Tie Movie Theater remains.
Bow-Tie Movie Theater, Callahan's Jewelers, Harmon, Massage Envy and Rudy's Restaurant will remain open during the first phase of construction.
