Ferries Offer Great View of Parade of Ships

All aboard! Take your little sailors to Fleet Week from May 24 โ€“ May 30 and ride the NY Waterway ferry to the event. If you bring any veterans or military members, NY Waterway is offering free ferry service with identification to all military personnel. NY Waterway ferries are the fastest, most convenient way to get to all the Fleet Week activities.

Ferries also offer a great vantage for the Parade of Ships. Kids will love watching warships cruise up the Hudson River past the New York skyline on the morning of May 24.

Thousands of Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen will be in Manhattan for Fleet Week New York. Hosted nearly every year since 1984, Fleet Week New York offers ship tours, musical performances, athletic competitions and other events โ€“ including a Memorial Day ceremony at the Intrepid Sea Air & Space Museum.

Ferries operate between the West 39th Street Ferry Terminal in Manhattan and Port Imperial and Lincoln Harbor in Weehawken and 14th Street in Hoboken seven days a week. Service between West 39th Street and Edgewater, Paulus Hook in Jersey City and Belford/Middletown in Monmouth County is available on weekdays.

Service between the Hoboken/NJ TRANSIT Terminal, Paulus Hook, Liberty Harbor and Port Liberte and Lower Manhattan is available weekdays. Parking is available at the Belford and Port Imperial ferry terminals and NJ TRANSIT rail and bus connections are available at Port Imperial.
