Demarest Day Brings Together the Local Community

On September 16, 2017, the Demarest Recreation Commission hosted its 2nd annual Demarest Day event from 12-4PM at the Demarest Duck Pond at 38 Park Street. Over 4,000 people from the local community enjoyed the day's festivities featuring free kids' rides and inflatables, a 24-foot rock climbing wall, a bounce house, pet adoptions, face painting, balloon art, glitter tattoos, arts and crafts, photo booth, a meet and greet with Rockland Boulder's Boulder Bird, dance performances by Cresskill Performing Arts, martial arts demonstrations by Tiger Kim’s Taekwon Do, Paint and Poses by L'ifestyle Lounge, and live DJ music throughout the day. There was also delicious Korean dumplings served by the parish of St. Joseph's, as well as food trucks Empanada Mania, Home Run Ice Cream, and Meatheads BBQ.
