If you answered yes to all of the above, Macaroni Kid Northeast Bergen and Paramus wants you! We are looking to expand our editorial selection and to build our team of contributing writers... and we want you to be a part of it!
Guest writers may submit an article on any topic of their choosing, geared toward an audience of families with children. Local content must refer to places within Bergen County, or within a day trip of Bergen County. Ideal article length is between 3-5 paragraphs; lists are great too! Aside from potentially having their writing published on our website and e-newsletter, from time to time, our regular contributors may be asked to participate in specific writing assignments which may include product, venue, restaurant or event reviews and be provided complimentary tickets, items or admission for the purpose of such a review.
Contributors will be compensated $25 for each article that is chosen for publishing. Submission does not guarantee publishing and timing will depend on our editorial calendar. Any articles submitted by or about a business will be considered for publication but will not qualify for paid compensation (a blurb about the business may be included in the footer). All content is subject to final editing by Macaroni Kid Northeast Bergen and Paramus.
To submit your article, email the content along with title and byline, to angelines@macaronikid.com. A photo or graphic to go with the article is highly recommended and greatly increases the chances of the article being published. Any images submitted must be able to be shared without risk of copyright infringement. Proofread your work before submitting.
