NVOT's "Bring It On: The Musical" Nominated for 9 Metro Awards

Northern Valley Old Tappan (NVOT) High School's "Bring It On: The Musical" has been nominated for nine Metro Awards (think Tony Awards for high schools in Bergen, Rockland, Putnam and Westchester counties).  The nominations were announced via a live video feed on Monday, May 14 on lohud.com, which is one of the media sponsors of the awards. NVOT was one of 56 schools participating in the Metros, which involved 3 judges attending each production. 






NVOT received the following nominations, based on judges' scores: 

Outstanding Overall Production

Actress in a Leading Role - Lizzie Venezia (Campbell)

Chorus

Acting Performance, Female - Kaelin McElduff (Eva)

Dance Performance - Sari Abolafia (Nautica)

Vocal Performance, Female - Alex Humphreys (Danielle)

Choreography - Alison Owusu

Costume Design - Donna Dolby


Gayoun Kim, Stage Manager & Set Painter for "Bring It On: The Musical", was nominated by teachers for Technical Merit.


NVOT, along with the other nominees for Outstanding Overall Production, will be performing about a five-minute production number at The Metro Awards, which will be presented at Purchase College PAC on June 11. You can also catch a live feed of the Metro Awards on lohud.com.
