Taco Tuesdays Just Got Tastier with Blue Moon Mexican Cafe's NEW Menu

Offering Beef, Vegetarian and Vegan Options for All Tastebuds

By Angeline Sheridan October 9, 2018

One "Taco Tuesday" afternoon, I was invited to sample the new menu of Blue Moon Mexican Cafe. After over 30 years in the business, owner and founder of Blue Moon Howie Felixbrod felt "it was time to refresh." The new menu, based on feedback from his guests, offers absolute favorites as well as new additions.

I liked the variety of tacos now available, ranging from chicken and beef to vegetarian options like the tacos de golfo, made with grilled shrimp, pineapple and avocado in a chimichurri sauce; the fish tacos featuring beer-battered cod fillets topped with a jalapeno tartar sauce; and the vegan chipotle black bean garden tacos with a chipotle black bean and veggie mixture, pico de gallo, and guacamole.

My favorite is the brisket taco - the ancho-flavored shredded brisket is tender and flavorful, and it is complemented by the cilantro, chopped radishes, and queso fresco. A close second is the taco gaucho because of the combination of flavors from the grilled steak, cilantro, avocado, and chimichurri sauce. I love a good chimichurri sauce!

If you haven't stopped by Blue Moon Mexican Cafe in awhile, be sure to check out their new offerings as well as their staples including their large house Margarita.
