With Egg Hunts Cancelled, These Local Towns Get Creative

By Angeline Sheridan April 6, 2020

In light of the current state mandate to stay at home and maintain social distancing, several local towns are offering alternatives to their annual Easter Egg hunts this year.

🥚 CLOSTER

The Closter Recreation Commission will be scheduling an Easter Bunny Drive-by on Saturday, April 11 starting at 9AM for Closter residents. Email your address and a major cross street to closterrecjim@aol.com no later than April 8. Listen for a loud "HONK HONK" that day.

🥚 WOODCLIFF LAKE

The Woodcliff Lake Recreation, Fire and Police Departments will have an Easter Bunny Drive-by on Friday, April 10 starting at 10AM, one on the east side and one on the west side. Listen for the fire engine sirens announcing the arrival of the Easter Bunny.

🥚 WESTWOOD

Westwood Recreation is hosting a Front Door Egg Hunt from April 6 through April 12.  Families can decorate an Easter egg or a bunch of Easter eggs to display on their window or front door so people walking around town (and practicing social distancing by being six feet away from each other) can spot them. You can download any template or the Westwood Recreation's template HERE.
