Fifth Graders Have Free Access to All National Parks

By Angeline Sheridan November 9, 2020

All 5th grade students and their families can take advantage of free admission to all national parks, wildlife refuges and other public lands and waters managed by the Department of the Interior from now until Aug. 31, 2021. The Department of Interior issues free admission to all 4th graders as part of the Every Kid Outdoors program. However, many current fifth grade students were unable to take advantage of this opportunity due to COVID.  This temporary extension of the pass allows fifth grade students and their families to enjoy the great outdoors through the 2020-21 academic school year.
