New Name, New Look: Master J Tae Kwon Do Academy in Norwood Re-Opens

By Angeline Sheridan January 1, 2021

We were happy to see that Governor Murphy is allowing all indoor sports to resume starting January 4, 2021, which includes tae kwon do.  Tae kwon do is a close-contact sport that requires discipline to attend at least twice a week, mental toughness to face older opponents, and physical capabilities to advance to the next level. Unfortunately, it is one of those sports that has been devastated by the coronavirus pandemic.

Starting on Monday, tae kwon do students will have the opportunity to resume their training in person. We were thrilled to see that the newly re-opened Master J Tae Kwon Do Academy, located on Livingston Street in Norwood, will be re-opening.  We have a particular soft spot for Master J because he was my son's Master when he took lessons there for nearly four years, culminating in achieving his black belt. It is a great school with a community of dedicated staff and student volunteers who are each committed to support every student's achievements and rank. If you are considering a new sport for your child, we highly recommend Master J Tae Kwon Do Academy

A Grand Opening is in the works, and will be announced soon according to Master J.
