On Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, take the time to remember and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may enjoy our freedoms today. Macaroni Kid Northern Pascack Valley (Bergen County) has compiled a list of local Memorial Day Parades below. If incliment weather occurs, parades may be canceled and service may be moved indoors.
๐บ๐ธCloster - 10AM. The parade will form behind the Closter Borough hall located at 295 Closter Dock and proceed through the center of town to Memorial Park on Harrington Ave. for the Memorial Day Services. Following the parade, all residents are invited back to the Closter Elks for food and refreshments. The Closter Elks lodge is located at 148 Railroad Ave. in Closter; walking distance from the Memorial Day ceremony.
๐บ๐ธNorwood - 11AM. The parade starts on Summit St. to Blanche Ave then north on Tappan Road to Broadway. The Memorial Day Parade is a time to gather and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
๐บ๐ธHaworth - 10:30 AM. The parade starts at 10:30 at the Haworth Fire Department on Hardenburgh Avenue. Please come join us in commemorating the lives of those who sacrificed all for our country, from our town community, and throughout the nation.
๐บ๐ธOld Tappan - 9:30 AM. The parade will start from the back of the Northern Valley Old Tappan High School and end in Oakes Park on Central Avenue. There will be a memorial ceremony that includes parading the colors, National Anthem, a rifle salute and taps. In the event of inclement weather, the Fire Department siren will be sounded at 8:15AM indicating the parade and ceremony has been cancelled.
๐บ๐ธWashington Township - 10AM. The parade will start at the corner of Washington and Clinton Avenue and proceed through Pascack Road to the Washington Memorial monument in front of town hall. The participants will proceed to Pascack Road and continue to march to the Township of Washington Memorial Monument located at the front of Town Hall across from The Fresh Grocer supermarket. The service will begin at the monument at the conclusion of the parade (approximately 10:45 am / 11:00 am)

๐บ๐ธWestwood - 9:00AM(please line up to watch at 8:30). The parade will begin at Five Corners, at the intersection of Kinderkamack Road and Harrington Avenue, and process down Westwood Ave to Veterans Park. Immediately following the procession, the Veterans' Council will host their annual Memorial Day Military Memorial Service at the war memorial. This year, the day will be marked by a more traditional parade procession which will be led by Grand Marshal Chester Kovaleski. A collection of antique cars, members of the Westwood Veterans' Council, Westwood Police Department, Westwood Fire Department, Westwood Ambulance Corps, Westwood Elks, Westwood scouts, youth athletes, and the Westwood Community Band will round out the parade lineup.
๐ฒChildren are invited to decorate their bikes, trikes, scooters, strollers, or wagons & join in the parade, too, as part of the "Childrens' Bike & Wagon Brigade."
