Farmers Markets in Bergen County

2020 Edition

By Angeline Sheridan June 15, 2020

Macaroni Kid's guide to farmers markets in Bergen County is back! Outdoor farmers markets offer a variety of locally grown fruits, herbs and vegetables, homemade breads and desserts, locally made cheeses and pickles, fresh flowers and more. Plus it's a great learning experience for kids. They can brush up on their colors, practice math skills with their money, explore their senses, and learn about healthy-eating all while getting some fresh air. Don't forget to bring masks and maintain at least six feet apart from other people.

Some vendors are encouraging patrons to pre-order items, and pick up at the market to facilitate transactions. Check each market's list of vendors to see if pre-ordering is an option. Don't forget to wear a face covering and maintain social distancing.
