Borough of Westwood Announces Closures and Postponements

By Angeline Sheridan March 13, 2020

The Borough of Westwood announced closures and postponements to "protect the community from the further spread of coronavirus (COVID-19)" effective March 13.

The following are closed until further notice:

  • Westwood Community Center and "all programming, sporting events, private events and the preschool".
  • All Borough fields used for organized sports teams and trainers. Non-organized group activities should be limited to 10 people or fewer.
  • Westwood Senior Van Services
  • Westwood Public Library
  • Westvale Dog Park

The Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 4th has been postponed; a new date has yet to be announced.

All Borough parks and playgrounds remain open.  However, the Westvale Park restrooms will be closed until further notice.

Borough Hall will be open for business, and the public is encouraged to limit contact with officials to phone calls and emails before coming in for assistance.
